I'm voting for Kerry, im 22, i am readin your post and agree. but fail to see what you sugest? pulling out? leaving a shattered and broken iraq to resent the US, and dissillusioning whatever few people we have there supporting us, and hoping we dont let insergence and militants take over the country. BUSH broke it kerry HAs to stay and fix it. Im not voting for someone who would leave them the way they are. im voting for someone who isnt in it for any other reason, secret motive, or Stubborn ideal. someone who will be tehre to HELP undo a wrong.. Leaving is NOT the answer. taht would save "american" lives. utter selfishness and irrisponsibility. we have to stay and fix what bush did. if you have a better suggestion, something that isnt. "lets just go home", than please reply.

It may have been the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time when it was started, but now it is a war of ideals that the US is committed to fighting. The question of whether, after promising to be in the long haul for democracy in Iraq (even if we shouldn't have in the first place) we should leave Iraq in a situation much less stable than the kind of Iraq we CAN help Iraqis build along with the rest of the world has only one answer: of course not. Of course it's in our interest to take responsibility for our mistakes. That's all that John Kerry has ever said. He is not moving towards the center, he has always been in the center, and that's why it's not only Democrats who support him, but all Americans. Barack Obama said it best.

We can't do it on our own, but we can definitely do better than GWB is, and from the viewpoint of US credibility in the world, we have to.
