I AM GLAD THAT JON STEWART PUT MR. TUCKER IN HIS PLACE. LIKE HE SAID, "IM NOT GOING TO BE YOUR MONKEY".

Is Tucker aiming for O'Reillys job? Bill's not worth a nickel much less 60mil. Rupert may flush him.

I have never seen the Daily Show, nor am I familiar with Jon Stewart as a personality. However, it is clear that he put young Tuck in his place. More, Begala showed his true, wormy moderate colors by allowing Carlson to engage such a repugnent character assasination of LaDuke. This is grotesque, shows how far the political discourse has fallen in recent years.

Interesting...how the "lefty" personalities on these corporate political sideshows are always "feminized", less compelling as a personality and far less forceful in promoting left ideas and countering the rightwing discourse.

Think Kinsley/Buchanan, Novak/Press, Hannity/Colms, Carlson/Beigala, etc. The same pattern holds: milquetoaste liberal verse loud propagandist for the corporate rightwing.

Very good piece written there. I too was pretty shocked not so much as Carlson's ignorant rant, but at how Begala compared LaDuke with David Duke. Carlson's just a propogandist so this kind of stuff is expected. But Begala was one of Clinton's main political advisors. I guess he was just making a really moronic joke. Crossfire is a pretty horrible show anyway, almost as bad as Fox News'"Hannity and Colmes". Jon Stewart was 100% right, its pure political theater. There's rarely any honest exchange of ideas.

I'm going to try this again! I'm grateful to you for responding to the sickening exchange on Crossfire about Winona LaDuke. Those two sorry excuses for journalists are beneath contempt.
