Good to hear from you — and good as well to see what your reporting has produced. I wish it were otherwise, but business editor Lawrence Ingrassia told me he felt the Metro story was, in the context of his area of coverage, “pretty marginal.”

The silence of The Times — about the growing corporate scandal that threatens a proposed partnership between the embattled Metro newspaper group and The New York Times Company — continues unabated, even as other media outlets on two continents continue to report the story.
A proposed multi-million dollar deal between two billion dollar firms, the New York Times Company and Metro International, appears to be still on track. This despite revelations in this space tying the Times’ proposed partner to a crude corporate culture of racism and sexism.
