The question should not be "is journalism dead?" but rather "are we dead?"

It doesn't matter whether so called Public Media is considered left or right. Any given news story at any given day is inherently rife with unqualified presumptions and misleading assumptions that no one is challenging and if they do, they're ignored---I'm sure given the trend of things---soon to be disappeared. If you start out with a bullshit premise.....gosh, logically you'll end up with a.....

PBS lost the war on independence when it started running full-blown Lexus commercials. However, we can't judge partisanship on a Cheney interview. Remember, Batman, we all LIVE IN FEAR of these criminals. We have no Miranda, no rights. Legally watching us. They can strike out at anyone, anytime. Some have said Paul Wellstone. We should speed the plow on impeachment, but our congressional IDIOTS are to blame for voting away our rights and freedoms. Here's another perspective: America's story is as dire as a comic book without a superhero. It began with 9-11. The Twin Towers burning looked like the splashpage of a 1960's Spiderman story. And like a comic universe in need of a superhero, our world cringed in fear. Many feel this is how our overseers wanted us, in a panic, ready to allow them the opportunity to strip away our own freedoms in exchange for some overbearing military police protection. Protection from what? From Iraqis? From kids having sex? No need to think conspiracy, the facts indicate that good intelligence has led the Strauss/Platonic NEOCON movement to its current success: government by an elite body, the executive branch in totality, thanks to it's control of the Supreme Court and Congress. We can grouse about the nerf balls the press lobs at Cheney. But remember, he shot one guy and got away with it already.
