As soon as we deregulate any business, utility, etc., we begin to see all types of corruption beginning to take place and infringement on civil rights. Just as an example, look at what has happened to the bias and lack of journalism in our news and reporting as soon as the anti-monopoly laws went out the window and we now have all our media controlled by a few rich Republicans. Our corporate controlled media that spoons feed us what only they feel we need to know, is one of the best examples of what happens when we do not enact and enforce regulations. The Republican Party is anti-government aka anti-regulation. We have become transfixed by illusions, facades, valueless images, appearances and impressions, the quick fix, shortsightedness and instant gratification. Will we ever learn is a fair question to ask for those who have hope. History, unfortunately, shows we have not.
