As I understand it - if I do at all - it is not the case that "Apture adds context to journalistic content". It is still the human user who does that; Apture just *displays* whatever is put inside it. And as for losing old metaphors - I still see a book, an analog loudspeaker and a few frames of celluloid cine film indicating the kind of content that will pop up. Apture is not a revolution, but it looks nice.</description>

But, as Apture CEO Tristan Harris told me, "if you find the animations annoying you can turn them off by bringing up the preferences (the [?] button in the bottom-right of every Apture window).  so far though, our surveys have shown that people like the cute 'pop' of the window..."</description>
